Pure fresh water. That was the short description for the design and colour conception of the water information centre. The Interactive Terrain Model fits both in colour as well as through its factually strict in the exhibition area. The relief model and the user terminal sit on a wood-steel construction. The video beamer is held by thin steel supports.
The creation of the relief model was less a challenge from a technical point of view. Rather, new ways had to be found when collating the data (Digital Elevation model, DEM), so that cross-border areas from a large region (ca. 130 x 160 km) including parts of Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany could be reproduced in miniature.
