The installation "Interactive Terrain Model" in the so-called archive section of the museum is to situate various historical topics presented there geographically. The instruments are a touch screen for selecting topics and a large screen as the main level of information on which the regional context of topics is presented with a 3-D animation. The geographical frame is understood by a shaded relief view with changing focus on parts of the region. Animated oblique views of the digital elevation model also reinforce the perception and simulate perspective views taken from view points in the real world.
