One major effort was to find a suitable form of presentation, which on the one side would respect most known facts of the complex historical event and on the other side, would avoid relaying a sensational minimisation of the tragic circumstances.
For the first time, the resulting animation is documenting the full course of events from 3 o'clock in the morning until 8 o'clock in the evening in a continuous twelve minute run. Although the spatial presentation is laid out in a quite stylised way, it gives a strong impression of the movements of the gigantic troop contingents. A spoken text is synchronized with the visual evolution of the scenery.
