Both aspects, including mining activities which lasted right up to the modern age and the special geological position of Hohen Hagen as an old volcano cone were collated in a scaled Terrain Model. Its surface shows the contours of the landscape as it is today, with the course of the information path after. Hidden in the belly of the model is a graphically simplified presentation of the geological underground. By unfolding the model’s body, this information becomes available.
Here, purposely, as for other installations, at a “stony location" appropriate monolithic shapes were chosen, both concerning the cubic form of the model’s body, as well as the choice of material, - hot-dipped galvanized steel.
