Although no particular affort has been undertaken so far to provide software solutions for the younger visitors only, observations demonstrate that children easily explore and enjoy the magic of the Interactive Terrain Model. As well the easy touch screen guided navigation and the comprehensive textual information, as the startling interaction between the control terminal and the projection onto the model are decisive for intensive experiences, - and entertainment. Another important premise is, however, that there is always free access to the surface of the model. By this the localization of geographic aspects is not limited to a mere abstract digital realm but can be haptically experienced on the spot.
